This is for sentences that have other sentences or statements quoted verbatim within them. To do this, use the complementizer su like quotation marks, on both sides of the quote, like so:
- su Sentence su Verb Auxilary Subject
Examples:
- Su ara shala al su anari dwi’men. – He/she/it said, “Y’all are safe.”
- Su asto’re da shan’re su anari dwi’a. – You said, “I have hope for my honor.”
- Su amare malu il alon su ori il’o. – I will say, “I’ll be traveling away.”
- Su diel surfas’o su ori’o pa surfal’re magamaga karameelaa. - I say, “I love you!” to my lover every morning.
